Innova Halo Star Hawkeye (Hailey King Tour Series) ENG
The Hawkeye is all about accuracy. It’s a disc that will give you easy access to lengthy throws, while in the meantime staying on the fairway. At faster speeds, it flies straight with exceptional glide. For players with less power it has a consistent, mellow fade.
The Hawkeye falls in the range of the Teebird and the TL, but is slightly more understable and therefore more beginner friendly. Comparable tot the Discmania FD.
The Halo Star plastic variant of this disc is part of Innova’s Tour Series and was bagged in 2022 by American professional disc golf player Hailey King.
HALO STAR PLASTIC
Innova's Halo Star plastic doesn’t differ much from its regular Star plastic in terms of quality, but looks way cooler. Halo Star plastic holds well, slowly beats in and maintains its flight characteristics over a long period of time. An awesome-looking, multi-colored premium plastic.
If we'd have to pinpoint a difference in comparison to Star plastic, then Halo Star shows perhaps a bit more stability in distance drivers (meaning that the discs tend to fade towards the left a bit more when thrown right-handed backhand). In other words, the added value of Halo Star plastic is mostly in its amazing looks. Slightly more expensive than Star but in our opinion definitely worth it!
CHOOSING YOUR FRISBEE
Disc golf discs are not designed to catch with your hands. For experienced throwers it is possible to do so, preferably with a putter or a midrange disc, but if you are looking for a frisbee to play throw and catch with, we'd recommend an Ultimate Frisbee instead. You can find more advice on how to choose the best frisbee for you in our FAQ.
